VACANCY – MARKETING OFFICER

Responsibilities
You will be expected to advise and guide South African companies in the development of export opportunities in Belgium and Luxembourg, and assist local importers in securing South African suppliers. You will proactively recruit Foreign Direct Investment into South Africa. You will have various analytical tools at your disposal and be responsible for the organization of promotional events, for example inward and outward missions. The offering of advice on the common trade policies of the European Union will also be part of your responsibilities, as well as the promotion of the free trade agreement (FTA) between South Africa and the EU.
 

Profile
You are a self-motivated, innovative and dynamic individual with at least 5-10 years experience in the marketing/promotion environment. You have the ability to communicate fluently in English, Flemish and French, with strong public speaking and presentation skills (this will be tested). You have an eye for detail, accurate administration and very good computer and project management skills. You possess sound knowledge of business opportunities in Belgium and Luxembourg, whilst knowledge of the South African economy will definitely count in your favour. To round if off, you have at least a bachelors degree (university or equivalent) in economics and marketing. If you do not meet the required minimum academic qualification, but have extensive relevant experience, your application will also be considered.
