Ambassador Mxolisi Nkosi to address the youth on the International Volunteer Day, 5 December 2012, Ghent, Belgium

The United Nations have declared the 5th of December as International Volunteer Day. A perfect opportunity to boost the cooperation between Flanders and South Africa when it comes to youth. During the period 2011-2013 the focus will be on stimulating South African youngsters to volunteer.
Come and discover more about the projects from this cooperation period. And learn more about the results of ‘the research on South African youngsters’ perception on voluntary work’. How different or similar is it in comparison to the Flemish situation? And how can we inspire each other?
Exchange views with other fans of South Africa and give your own suggestions. You also get the chance to share your experiences with partners in South Africa and to extend your network.

EXTRA
On the 5th of December, local volunteers will be helping out in the communities of Witzenberg and Stellenbosch. Thanks to a live connection with South Africa, you can follow their BOOST it! actions from the front row.

FOR WHOM?
Are you a youngster, professional or volunteer working for an organization or an office that links with South Africa? Do you have a South African experience or do you cooperate with a South African partner? Or do you fancy an experience in the South? Then we’d love to see you on the 5th of December.
