The park surrounding the Chateau de l’Ermitage in Wavre is to be renamed “Parc Nelson Mandela” after the former South African President who is globally recognised as a symbol of peace and reconciliation.
 
This beautiful park in a quiet and tranquil setting seems to be the ideal place to pay hommage to a great man who dedicated his whole life to fighting against injustice.
 
The inauguration will take place in the presence of the South African Ambassador to Belgium, Mr Mxolisi Nkopsi on Sunday 15 June from 10am.
 
The South African dance group, Sidlangaloludzalasera will also be performing at the event.
